It is rare to see a rap-metal band pay homage to veteran rock and metal bands like Van Halen, Pantera and Meshuggah with stellar musicianship, all the while incorporating modern metal production and hip-hop/electronic music in undeniable original fashion. Bringing a new exciting take on metal, Hasta La Muerte is here to remind you that there are no rules in the heavy music world.
By pushing the boundaries of modern guitar tunings far beyond expectations and combining modern metal production with hip-hop danceability, 80's shred-guitar solos and eerie industrial ambience, Hasta La Muerte has managed to create the perfect speedball that has new-school and old school fans alike coming back for more. It is thanks to this tried-and-true mentality of openness that Hasta La Muerte makes a solid claim to artistic integrity and stays clear of predictable flavor-of-the-month trends.
Following drummer Kevy Metal's live performances with death metal masterminds Beyond Creation and nü-metal veterans Slaves on Dope, and Manuel Iradian's tenure as the touring guitarist for legendary rock drummers Carmine Appice (Rod Stewart, Ozzy Osbourne, Ted Nugent) and Vinny Appice (Dio, Black Sabbath, Heaven & Hell), Hasta La Muerte returned to the songwriting process and has now re-entered the studio with record producer and Cryptopsy axeman Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy, The Agonist).
After unleashing the music video for the song “Pour Anotha Shot”, the debut single released on major online distributors in spring of 2015, the band is planning to release its follow-up single and video while crafting more songs in the studio.
