“A distinct style, but also considerable substance. Theirs is a modern, metal-edged approach that puts songs and musicianship
ahead of gimmicks or image. The result is a forthright collection of tracks that flows with panache and force.” Malcolm Dome
“Godsized are finally showing why they’ve been called ‘the next big thing’ for so long now.” Rock Sound
“They sweat not so much bullets as tactical nuclear missiles onstage – and they’re aiming firmly for major explosions. Godsized really do have what it takes to be the next British metal band to make an impact on a global scale.” Metal Hammer
“Time delivers a much needed dose of high quality rock at the perfect time and is a breath of fresh air in a predictable music
scene. This release comes along not a moment too soon.” Powerplay
Godsized are set to return with their second record, “Heavy Lies The Crown” on Metalville records on 30th March 2015. Famed for their live performances, the band spent a year writing and recording the album with producer Chris Coulter (Jamie Lenman).
The release follows 2013’s critically acclaimed debut “Time”, and is an aggressive, melodic statement of intent from the UK four piece. From the heavy riffing of album opener “Welcome to Hell” to wall of sound on “Push Against The Tide”, from the classic sounding twin guitars of “Saving You” to the slow groove of “Stone Cold Blow To the Head”, Godsized mix heavy crushing music with the melodies of Glen Korner. Listen to the album, see one of the shows, Godsized delivers the goods.
The band has played hundreds of shows in countless countries across Europe and supported many of their heroes (Black Label Society, Life Of Agony, My Ruin, Monster Magnet, Saxon and more). They have a loyal fan base, a tank full of gas and a record that will sell tickets. Godsized are set to tour throughout 2015. Details to follow
