ATTICA RAGE are one of the most promising heavy rock bands to emerge from the UK in recent years. With third album 88MPH out now via Off Yer Rocka, the Glasgow rockers continue to build a growing, loyal fanbase via the traditional rock n’ roll route out on the road, earning a solid reputation for their bone-rattling, energetic, loud and powerful performances at headline shows, tours and festivals across UK & Europe.
Following an early EP in 2005, the band released their debut album ‘Ruin Nation’ in 2008 on their own label. In 2011, Attica Rage signed to Rocksector Records and released second album ‘Road Dog’ in the UK in April to critical acclaim across the board. The album was then released worldwide by Off Yer Rocka Recordings in May 2012, with two additional bonus live tracks. Attica Rage also contributed a cover of ‘Killer of Giants’ on a US-released Ozzy Osbourne tribute album.
Having supported and shared festival bills with heavyweight names including Judas Priest, Slash, Black Label Society, Down, Anthrax, W.A.S.P and Saxon amongst others, the Attica Rage live experience has been proven to fill outdoor arenas as much as it does the clubs & theatres. UK and European festival highlights have included High Voltage, Download and Bulldog Bash plus several main stage appearances at Hard Rock Hell, Hammerfest and overseas at Metalcamp (Slovenia); HRH Road Trip (Ibiza) and Wizzfest (Belgium). In summer 2012, Attica Rage performed onboard the HMS Hammer boat at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods awards pre-show party along with Shadows Fall and Fozzy plus hundreds of fans, media & industry as it sailed along the River Thames in London.
December 2012 saw the launch of third album ‘88MPH’ with live showcases at Hard Rock Hell, Glasgow and London and video single and free audio download of album track ‘Killer Carousel’. A live concert & documentary film 2-disc DVD, ‘Road Dog Forever’ chronicling the 2-year period of the making of the album was also made available to fans. 88MPH was officially released worldwide in February 2013 via Off Yer Rocka, with a double-A single and live video of ‘Beyond Forever’ recorded & filmed at Hard Rock Hell, released in March. A return to Hammerfest followed shortly, opening for Hatebreed and Killing Joke on the main stage. More festivals plus tourdates are planned for 2013.
