Fu Xi from Lanzhou, Gansu was formed in 2005. Out of their national pride and faith in the Chinese culture, Fu Xi creates Metal with strong Chinese influences. Their music can be described as Chinese national folk / doom metal. Their debut album In The Quiet Road was released in April 2009. This metal band from the northwest followed the tradition of bands like Tang Dynasty and Spring and Autumn to combine Chinese style with the metal. Essential elements to fill their music with "Chinese characteristics" and the "northwest mood" are the lyrics and instruments like pipa, erhu, dizi and other traditional folk instruments.
