Биография
HC-B was born in Catania, Italy in 1999 in occasion of their self-released My Green Apple which firmly established their distinctive balance between composition and improvisation across a broad instrumental palette. The initial vision held by the group was one of combining sound and and vision, which was realized in the band's 2001 project “T0-10-222”. Influenced by George Lucas short-film “Electronic Labyrinth”, HC-B created an improvised soundtrack to accompany the film. Short audio speech samples from the movie were included to enhance the unique blend of multimedia types which reflected the group's early intentions of complete sensory immersion. After the release of T0-10-222 HC-B toured Italy in collaboration with DoppioZero Booking&Management and some tracks were included in the soundtrack of “Fuori Uno”, a short-film by director Daniele Greco produced by Scartifilm. In 2002 HC-B entered in the studio to record their first official album: “Sliding on Barents Sea” was co-produced with Catania's Edwood Records and distributed by Rome's Goodfellas Distribution. Comprised of 14 tracks, the album was a combination of rehearsed material and improvisation. At the meantime HC-B's tracks were included on the soundtrack for the film “A Journey to Etna” by Alessandro Viani. The group began touring in support of “Sliding on Barents Sea” after it's release in 2003 and played around Italy, sharing the stage with U.S. Maple (USA) and My Cat is an Alien (Italy). The next year the band took part in the Fragments compilation with such other bands as Bellini, Zu, and many more, and recorded their totally improvised “PreLight/InLight/PostLight” EP. On July 2005 HC-B shared the stage with Battles. 2006 began recording the demo “Snapshot” whom all six tracks took part in the new official album “Soundcheck for a Missing Movie”, recorded and mixed by Sacha Tilotta(Three Second Kiss) and Alfredo Musumeci at Dreams Factory Analog Studio in Catania, mastered by Bob Weston (Shellac) at Chicago Mastering Service. It was released by the Australian Perth’s Hidden Shoal Recordings, on March the 3rd, 2009. In the while, the bans took part in one of the most important Italian festivals “Yspigrock Festival”, sharing the stage with Art Brut, Apparat and dEUS and starting a collaboration with the D’indie Booking agency, based in Florence, for a next tour in the occasion of the new album’s release.Скрыть/показать
