 Трое участников Dreamtide (Helge Engelke, Torsten Luderwaldt, CC Behrens) являются выходцами из немецкой хард-роковой команды Fair Warning. Несмотря на сей факт копированием Fair Warning в творчестве Dreamtide и не пахнет. Они играют мелодичный хард-рок, не лишенный собственной оригинальности, а в мелодическом отношении, на мой взгляд, даже более интересный и запоминающийся, чем те же Fair Warning.
Дебютный альбом “Here Comes The Flood” производит довольно сильное впечатление. Хотя по музыкальному материалу он довольно однородный, слушается он на одном дыхании, от первой композиции “What You Believe In”, до красивейшего инструментала “Phoenix Tears”, и не оставляет никакого впечатления затянутости. Думаю, в этом немалую роль играет вокал Олафа Сенкбейла, он хоть и похож по тембру на голос Томми Харта (Fair Warning), но совершенно лишен его слащавости и привносит в музыку Dreamtide свежесть и искренность.
Созданию хорошего впечатления от прослушивания альбома также несомненно будут способствовать простые, но душевные тексты, большинство из которых касается темы человеческих желаний и мечтаний, и прекрасные аранжировки. |
