 Средней степени паршивости сплит уже очень известных на 1999 год Emperor’a и, напротив, практических безвестных Thorns, так что пояснять, кому в первую очередь был выгоден этот релиз не стоит. Каждая группа поменялась ролями и исполнила, соответственно, чужие композиции. Что касается Emperor’a, то их исполнение вещей Thorns выполнено аккурат в том ключе, в каком был сделан и вышедший в 1999 году прогрессив/блэковый альбом “IX Equlibrium”, то есть и мощно и интересно. Thorns же подошли к исполнению песен Emperor с другой стороны, углубившись в эксперименты с индастриал блэком. Где-то это вышло нормально, а где-то (как в “The Discipline On Earth”) излишне странно, с явным перевесом эффектов над эффективностью. Сложно сказать, имеет ли этот диск какую-то иную ценность, кроме коллекционной – ну да, один раз услышать забавно, но искать здесь откровений, это уже лишнее. А вот на полочки среди релизов Emperor’a (благо номерных альбомов не так много), он будет смотреться и собирать пыль куда уместнее. (Диск предоставлен компанией Irond) |
