 «Lavatory Love Machine» стал вторым синглом, выпущенным к альбому «Hellfire Club», и его выход во многом обязан теплому приему данного диска публикой, не в последнюю очередь в той стране, которой, собственно, и посвящена заглавная композиция. Ну, конечно говорить о посвящении стране – это слишком перегнуть планку, она скорее связана с ней и была написана Тобиасом под впечатлением об одном длинном перелете и связанными с этими событиями личными переживаниями. «Lavatory Love Machine» – это, по сути, квинтэссенция всего того раздолбайско-рок-н-ролльного Эдгая, который так полюбился людям со всего мира. Небывалый позитив, скрытый в этой песне, способен вызвать улыбку даже у закоренелого меланхолика и если осечка произойдет с аудио-версией песни, то видеоряд (клип также размещен на диске) точно справится с поставленной задачей. В противном случае, боюсь, стоит задуматься о наличии чувства юмора, причем сделать это нужно вовсе не Тобби и Ко. Акустическая версия этого трека сохранила позитив, но при этом осталось такой же милой и заводной, как и оригинальная композиция; сыгранная в схожем ключе версия баллады «I’ll Cry for You» в оригинале исполненная авторами «Последнего отсчета» удивительно жива и прекрасно вписывается в лиричное настроение этого ЕР. Ну а напоследок еще одна баллада, помпезная и прямо таки пышущая оптимизмом, необычайно трогательная и красивая фортепианная «Reach Out» окончательно настраивает на романтический лад и вызывает стойкое желание подарить второй половинке как минимум улыбку. Какой будет максимум – зависит только от Вас. |
