 После весьма слабого предыдущего диска, четвёртый альбом немецких пауэрщиков я уже покупал по инерции, и как оказалось очень не зря! Дело в том, что на своём четвёртом творении музыканты сотворили свой самый лучший, сильный и тяжёлый альбом! И хотя я уже слышал тучу ядовитых криков, что альбом этот такой же как и другие, вынужден буду не согласиться. Да, Металиум уже нашли свой собственный стиль, и уже можно сказать даже добились какого-то статуса, но мелодии, которые они приготовили здесь просто великолепны и беспрецедентно оригинальны. Состав группы на этот раз не изменился и, кажется, наконец-то устоялся. В качестве гостя вновь отметился знаменитый клавишник Дон Эйри, опять было взято несколько человек для хора, а также была приглашена певица Саеко Китамае. Текстовая концепция пластинки выдержана в таком же величественном и воинственном стиле, и повествует о появлении некой Металианы, которая должна якобы слиться в одно целое с Металианом (очень пахнет детством, хотя ребята кажется уже взрослые), и о борьбе с всякими злостными личностями а-ля Медуза Горгона, Атена и Пандора. Качество записи по установленной традиции характеризуется высочайшим уровнем, а вот о технической стороне пластинки нужно сказать отдельно. Музыка стала необычайно тяжёлой – такой громовой ритм секции, режущих гитар и крыше срывающих басов не каждые трешеры могут добиться! Иногда музыка разгоняется до немыслимой скорости, а большая половина песен выдержана в диком ритме. Вокалист тоже не выглядит плохо на уровне такого брутального музона, и со всей силы старается если не перекричать музыку, так быть на уровне с ней. Вообще, это один из реально самых сильных альбомов в современном пауэре, и еще, потому что в нём напрочь отсутствуют минусы, что проявляется как в отсутствии проходных песен, так и в более детальном рассмотрении содержания диска. Особенно хотел бы выделить открывающий мощный номер «Warrior», следующую драйвовую и крепчайшую песню «Pain Crawls In The Night», средне темповый прогрессивный монстр «Find Out», в котором и можно услышать голос нашей Металианы, что ни капли не уступает голосу Металиана. Отличное впечатление оставляют такие бешеные и цепляющие композиции как «No One Will Save You» и «Power Strike The Earth», а чумовейший номер «Illuminated» является некой концентрацией сил на всей пластинке. Закрывается альбом номером «As One» – очень крутой барабанный кач, выведенные вперёд басы, и хорошая доза злости и безумия делают этот шедевр настоящим золотом для любого стадиона, не говоря уже о том что, он просто сбивает с ног таким подытоживанием альбома! В общем, если вы слушаете пауэр металл, то не проходите мимо этой работы. |
