Настоящее искусство не умирает, в чем мы в очередной раз смогли убедиться. Спустя четыре года после смерти Фредди Меркьюри оставшиеся члены группы выпустили этот альбом, в котором к сохранившимся вокальным записям Фредди были сделаны новые аранжировки, что дало нам возможность получить еще одну полноценную работу данного коллектива. Обрамляет диск тема «It’s a Beautiful Day» – в качестве пролога она предстает перед нами как нечто умиротворяющее с соответствующими звуками (типа пения птиц), а в эпилоге уносится куда-то вдаль уже хардом. Второй идет «Let Me Live» с запоминающимся приглашенным хором и вокалированием всех участников группы по очереди за исключением Роджера Дикона, а потом просто шедевральная, на мой взгляд, «Mother Love» («Мне лишь нужно знать, что моя женщина дает мне нежную материнскую любовь») с грустными гитарой и клавишными и плачем ребенка в конце. «My Life Has Been Saved» – просто хорошая песня, ничем особенно не выделяющаяся, «Heaven for Everyone» – красивая, добрая тема о мечте о рае на земле (где все было бы хорошо, где все были бы свободны и любили друг друга), «You Don’t Fool Me» – самая танцевальная песня на альбоме с прекрасными клавишными аккордами и улетающим в небеса гитарным солом, а «A Winter’s Tale» хороша для медитации при рассматривании зимнего звездного неба. Пару песен можно было услышать на сольном альбоме Меркьюри «Mr. Bad Guy» 1985 г. – правда, здесь «Made in Heaven» звучит гораздо впечатляюще благодаря хард-роковой составляющей, а «I Was Born to Love You» потеряла все свое диско и оказалась заряжена хардовой энергетикой, намного лучше передающей чувства человека, уверенного на 100%, что полюбить именно этого человека ему было уготовано судьбой еще с самого его рождения. «Too Much Will Kill You» с голосом Фредди приобрела дополнительный шарм, хотя и ненамного отличается от версии, представленной на сольнике Мэя 1992 г. «Back to the Light». Что ж, покойся с миром, Фарух Булсара, твое искусство будет жить вечно в наших сердцах! |

Последний альбом гениальной группы, состоящий из ранее неизданных песен. Хотя этот альбом заметно уступает предыдущему диску Innuendo, но в нем присутствует прекрасная атмосфера. Как всегда, отличная музыка и хорошее качество записи. На мой взгляд, самая красивая песня на этом диске это You don't fool me, к которой был снят отличный видеоклип. Хороший альбом, что вкупе с просто гениальной обложкой, создает незабываемое впечатление. |
