 General Surgery – общая хирургия. При этих словах мысленному взору сразу предстает комната с белоснежным кафелем; ледяной, не дающий и малейшей тени свет ламп, сверкающие никелем инструменты. И пятеро эскулапов, еще не остывших от жара предыдущей операции, при первом же взгляде на них остается только покорно лечь на хирургический стол, натянуть на лицо маску и молиться только о том, чтобы наркоз не перестал действовать в самый ответственный момент.
На обложке – полный набор патологоанатома: скальпели множества родов, разнообразные хитровыгнутые щипчики, иголочки, ножнички, зонды, буравчики, ножовка для костей и прочие предметы, пригодные для расчленения индивидуума на системы органов. На повестке дня – избавление пациента от дефектов слуха 33-х минутной процедурой. Жирный (но не вопиюще грязный – стерильность прежде всего!), приятный звук гитары, не менее отлично записанные ударные, с любовью и старанием исполненные вставки (как-то: влажное чавканье слизистой, хрип мокроты и вой сирены скорой помощи). Впрочем, у создателей было предостаточно времени, чтобы отшлифовать материал и звучание, старательно изваять каждую, даже самую незначительную мелочь на этом альбоме – с момента выхода последнего ЕР прошло ни много ни мало, 15 лет (!). Так что все идет прекрасно: гитарист исторгает ядовитые риффы и лихо закручивает сольные водовороты, ударник рассыпает сушеный горох бласт-битов или на пару с басистом нарезает основной ритм, не забывая про рокот бочек и перезвон «железок». Ну а вокал, как и полагается всему голова – и мясной гуттурал; и простой, но вкусный гроул, и просто хриплые вопли. Док знает дело: там отрежет, тут аккуратно снимет пленку, подбавит жару молотилкой и отдаст на растерзание качу и бешеной энергии. Песни не долгие, в основе 1-2 минутки (за исключением последней), поэтому скучать и спать на рабочем месте вряд ли придется. Вот и всё. Остаётся только сделать запись в карточке больного: отмечается значительное улучшение состояния и небывалый подъем настроения. 9/10. |
